Facial rejuvenation with tension threads is the latest trend to treat sagging skin on both the face and neck, as well as to generate biostimulation and a lifting effect without the need for surgery.

The procedure lasts 20 to 40 minutes and consists of the subcutaneous application of several absorbable facial suture threads through a single entry point (for each thread) and by means of a microcannula (without incisions or scars). Its spikes or cones are anchored to deep tissues, generating the production of collagen, elastin and all the components of the extracellular matrix that are responsible for firming the skin and adhering it to the muscle. Over time, the threads are absorbed by the body but their effects can last up to five years.

During the consultation with the plastic surgeon, all concerns regarding this procedure are addressed, such as costs, required exams, pre and post-operative care, among others.
